The new Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia feature notable aesthetic updates, cutting-edge on-board technology, and meet the demand of the Moroccan market by retaining the 2.2 liter diesel unit, with two power variants, 160 hp and 210 hp.
Alfa Romeo is strengthening its presence on the Moroccan automobile market with the launch of its newly restyled Giulia and Stelvio models. During a press event held today in Casablanca, these vehicles were unveiled, marking a significant milestone for the brand. After the launch of the Tonale last February, Alfa Romeo continues its expansion in Morocco, thus confirming its reputation which combines performance and Italian style.
The new Giulia and Stelvio feature a notable exterior transformation, particularly in terms of their Trilobo grille, decorated with the brand logo and lower grilles with a distinctive design. This update adds a modern touch to Alfa Romeo's iconic grille. However, the most notable element is the introduction of Full-LED matrix adaptive headlights. They consist of three distinct modules, creating a unique lighting signature and subtly recalling the timeless charm of the Alfa Romeo SZ Zagato models and the Alfa Romeo Proteo concept car.
These new Full-LED headlights are not limited to aesthetic appearance; they also incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as the Adaptive Front Lighting System, which automatically adjusts the low beam according to speed and driving conditions, as well as Glare-Free High Beam Segmented technology, which avoids dazzling drivers by automatically detecting oncoming traffic. Concerning the rear part, the design of the lights remains unchanged, but the Italian brand has made subtle modifications to accentuate the sporty character of the two models. The Giulia now features clear glass rear lights, while the Stelvio opts for smoked glass with a glossy black finish.
Cutting-edge connectivity on board the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia
Inside the new Stelvio and Giulia, a major transformation is noticeable, notably with the adoption of a brand new digital dashboard. The analogue gauges now give way to an impressive 12.3-inch TFT screen, carefully integrated into classically designed barrels, evoking a retro aesthetic reminiscent of the style of the Tonale SUV. This instrumentation upgrade provides drivers with increased flexibility through various configurations. Among these, we find a “Heritage” mode which draws its inspiration from gauges from the 1960s, offering a nostalgic touch to the driving experience. In contrast, “Relax” mode takes a stripped-down approach, providing an uncluttered environment conducive to calming driving. On the technology front, the “Alfa Connect Services” are positioned as a central element to provide optimal comfort and safety on board. They also enable “Over the Air” updates to keep vehicle connectivity constantly up to date. A notable feature debuting with these models is NFT (Non-Fungible-Token) technology. This innovation is inspired by the concept of the “blockchain card”, guaranteeing an encrypted and secure digital register, containing essential information about each vehicle. In response to demand from the Moroccan market, Alfa Romeo has retained the 2.2 liter diesel unit with two power variants: 160 hp for rear-wheel drive, generating 450 Nm of torque, and 210 hp for all-wheel drive, offering 470 Nm of torque . On both models, the only transmission option available is an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Alfa Romeo Q4 system
All-wheel drive technology with the Q4 system is designed to provide a responsive and safe driving experience, while maximizing vehicle performance and efficiency. The heart of this system is the Active Transfer Case (ATC), which monitors traction conditions and driver actions in real time to ensure optimal driving. Thanks to Alfa Romeo's Q4 system, the vehicle can behave as pure rear-wheel drive, but it can also distribute up to 50% of the engine torque to the front axle in less than 150 milliseconds when necessary, thus avoiding the wheel slippage and ensuring optimal performance.
