Orbis AgroIndustry, represented by its Managing Director Mohamed El Hajjouji and the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), represented by its Chairman of the Board of Directors Mohammed Bin Obaid Al Mazrooei signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at the deployment joint agro-industrial development projects with high added value in Morocco. This partnership is part of a medium and long-term vision targeting the production of red fruits and extra-virgin olive oil initially, and other high value-added projects later.
This cooperation covers the entire value chain, from planting to marketing. The projects covered by this partnership are structured around four components. The production of red fruits (goji berries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries), avocados and citrus fruits in the Gharb region. The establishment of a storage, sorting, packaging and valorization unit for agricultural products. The production of olives in hyper-intensive systems in different regions of Morocco and the establishment of an olive crushing unit in order to produce extra virgin olive oil.
